Promoter

Entry Restrictions

Open only to Australian residents aged 18 or over who are a Licensee of, or an employee of, a Licensed Post Office (“LPO”) with a valid Australia Post Workforce ID.

Directors, officers, management and employees (and the immediate families of directors, officers, management and employees) of the Promoter, or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter.

Overall Competition Period

9am (AEDT) on 1/05/2022 to 2pm (AEDT) on 26/06/2022.

Entry Period

The entry period for each Expo is 9am to 2pm (local time) on the date of the respective Expo.

Expo

During the Competition Period, the Promoter will hold 6 Expos.

The Expos will take place on the following dates and at the following locations:

  • New South Wales: will be held at Hall 2, International Convention Centre Sydney, 14 Darling Drive, Sydney NSW 2000 and will run on 01/05/2022.
  • South Australia: will be held at Halls LMNO, Adelaide Convention Centre, North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000 and will run on 15/05/2022.
  • Northern Territory: will be held at Oaks Darwin Elan Hotel, 31/33 Woods Street, Darwin City NT 0800 and will run on 21/05/2022.
  • Victoria: will be held at Exhibition Pavilion, Melbourne Showgrounds, Epsom Road, Ascot Vale VIC 3032 and will run on 05/06/2022.
  • Western Australia: will be held at Pavilion 1, Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, 21 Mounts Bay Road, Perth WA 6000 and will run on 19/06/2022.
  • Queensland: will be held at Halls 3 & 4 Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, 2684-2690 Gold Coast Highway, Broadbeach QLD 4218 and will run on 26/06/2022.

Entry Method

To enter, the entrant must:

  • attend an Expo; and
  • during the respective Entry Period for the Expo of attendance:
    1. locate the Australia Post Retail Academy Stand at the Expo;
    2. be registered for the SPARK online learning platform, participate in the stand survey and fully complete the competition entry form, including providing their full name, Licensed Post Office name, Licensed Post Office WCC, personal email address and phone number; and
    3. place the entry form in the entry box located at the Australia Post Retail Academy Stand.

Entry Limits

Entrants may only enter once and are only eligible to win in the State/Territory of their LPO.

All draws will be conducted at the Retail Academy Stand, at each Expo venue at the specified dates and times. Winners will be announced at the presentation area at 3pm at all events, except in Sydney and Melbourne where winners will be announced at 2:30pm.

Winner Determination

The first valid entry randomly drawn from each Expo draw (i.e. from all valid entries for that respective Expo during the Entry Period), will win a prize.

Entries received in respect of each draw will not roll over to subsequent draws.

Prize Details

There are six (6) prizes to be won in total, with one (1) prize to be won per Expo.

Each prize includes a:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 (10.4”, WiFi, 32GB); and
  • a member of the Australia Post Retail Channel Development (“RCD”) team to spend a day in the winner’s Post Office to provide team development and coaching, valued at up to $2,400 (inc GST) each.

Prize Pool

The prize pool per Expo is valued at $2,400 (inc GST).

The total prize pool is valued at $14,400 (inc GST).

Winner Notification and Publication

Winners will be announced at the presentation area at 3pm at all events, except in Sydney and Melbourne where winners will be announced at 2:30pm.

If the winners are not in attendance at the time of the announcement, the winners will be notified by phone and email within two days of the draw and published on the Promoter’s Internal Post Office Portal by 01/07/2022.

If there is no prize winner or the prize winner cannot be found, the Promoter will publish that information on the Promoter’s Internal Post Office Portal.

Prize Claim Date and Time

Prizes must be claimed by 5pm (AEST) on 26/08/2022.

Unclaimed Prize Draw Details

10am (AEST) on 02/09/2022 at 111 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.

Unclaimed Prize Draw Winner Notification and Publication

Any winners in the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be notified by phone and email within two days of the Unclaimed Prize Draw and their name will be published on the Promoter’s Internal Post Office Portal by 09/09/2022.

Further Conditions:

  1. Information regarding prizes and how to enter forms part of these conditions. By entering, entrants accept these conditions.
  2. The competition will be conducted during the Competition Period and at each Expo during the relevant Expo Entry Period.
  3. Entries must be received during the relevant Expo’s Entry Period. Entries must be on the original entry form. The Promoter is not liable for late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed or illegible entries, correspondence or claims for prizes due to error, omission, tampering, theft, destruction or otherwise including failure of any Expo to forward entry forms to the draw location.
  4. The draws will be conducted at the times, on the dates and at the location as stated in the Draw Details.
  5. The prizes are as stated in the Prize Details. A member of the RCD team will contact winners to arrange a suitable time and date for their visit. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 will be delivered in person to winners at the time of the RCD visit.
  6. The prizes are subject to any additional conditions imposed by the prize suppliers. Winners are responsible for all costs associated with using the prizes including any mobile or data plans, if applicable.
  7. The winners will be notified in accordance with the Winner Notification and Publication section of these conditions, by entering this competition, each entrant requests that his or her full address not be published.
  8. The winners must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their names and images in promotional material.
  9. The Promoter may require winners to provide proof of identity, proof of age, proof of residency and proof that they are an employee of, or a Licensee of, an LPO (including proof of a valid Australia Post Workforce ID). Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.
  10. If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry, the entry will be discarded and a new winner of that prize will be determined by drawing a further valid entry in accordance with the Unclaimed Prize Draw Details, as applicable.
  11. The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person (including without limitation a winner) who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the competition or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent or effect of annoying, abusing, threatening or harassing any other person or behaves in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related bodies corporate or the agencies or companies associated with this competition, is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate.
  12. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Any dispute regarding the conduct of the promotion or the claiming of a Prize and its outcome will be determined between the Promoter and the disputing entrant.
  13. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If for any reason a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited and cash will not be supplied instead. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. If a prize or any element of a prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute for that prize or element of that prize another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter, subject to the approval of the relevant gaming authorities if required.
  14. If any prize has not been accepted or claimed in accordance with the Prize Claim Date and Time or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter cannot contact the drawn winner (or the drawn winner does not contact the Promoter) by the Prize Claim Date and Time, the relevant winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter will conduct such further draws in accordance with the Unclaimed Prize Draw as are necessary to distribute the relevant prize, subject to any requirements of the relevant gaming authorities. Any winner in this draw will be notified as stated in the Unclaimed Prize Draw Winner Notification and Publication.
  15. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury, illness or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law). Nothing in these conditions restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
  16. Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage, loss or delay in transit to the prizes or be liable for any damage that occurs to the prizes whilst displayed on premise at any Expo. Prizes will be delivered in Australia only.
  17. The Promoter may communicate or advertise this competition using Instagram, Facebook or any other social media platforms (“Social Media Platforms”). However, the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with the Social Media Platforms. Entrants are providing their information to the Promoter and not to the Social Media Platforms. Each entrant completely releases all Social Media Platforms from any and all liability.
  18. COVID – 19 is currently an ongoing, worldwide, pandemic. The entrants attending any Expo, associated with the competition or prize, acknowledge the safety risks associated and participate in the event at their own risk. The Promoter is not responsible for any consequences arising from participation in the Expo associated with the competition or prizes (e.g. quarantine requirements or border restrictions).
  19. If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of all relevant gaming authorities, if required.
  20. The Promoter is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Where this competition involves, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non-monetary consideration, entrants will follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
  21. Privacy notice: The information requested on the entry form is being collected by Australia Post so that you can enter and we can administer this promotion. Without this information, we are unable to process your entry. Your personal information is managed in accordance with Australia Post’s Privacy Policy.
