LION BIG BANG – NOVEMBER 24 ("Conditions of Entry")

This promotion is run by the Promoter listed below with legal support for terms and conditions provided by Plexus. For any enquiries regarding the promotion, please contact the Promoter in the details below.

1. Details of Promotion and how to enter

Purchase any participating Hahn product to share (schooner, pint, jug, six-pack or carton) from a Star Liquor Retailer or Star Hotel’s venue and scan your Star Rewards at the time of making the qualifying transaction to go into the draw to win 1 of 150 Kayo Sports vouchers for a 12-month subscription to Kayo One.

Entrants must be a Star Rewards member to enter the promotion.

7. Draw Details

The Draw will be conducted at Star Hotels Head Office, 39 Harvey Street North, Eagle Farm QLD via an automated electronic draw system. Winners will be notified within 7 days in writing (via email or SMS). The same customer cannot win multiple prizes (excludes SA entrants).

If the winners cannot be contacted within two (2) months, an unclaimed prize draw will take place at the same time and place as the original draw on the following dates:

Draw 2 - Redrawn 06/01/25
Draw 3 – Redrawn 13/01/25
Draw 4 – Redrawn 20/01/25
Draw 5 – Redrawn 20/01/25

Winners will be notified within 7 days in writing (via email or SMS).

The prizes must be taken as stated. If for any reason a prize winner cannot take a prize or any part of a prize in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, including at the time reasonably specified by the Promoter, the prize will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash.

If the prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

8. Restrictions on entry (Star hotel/retail employees)

Entry is only open to Queensland and South Australia residents who are aged 18 years or over who are Star Rewards members and NOT be currently excluded (whether self-excluded or otherwise) from a Participating Venue or any part of the Participating Venue in which the Promotion is taking place. Directors, officers, shareholders, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, Participating Venues (as defined below), and their agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter. "Immediate family" means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

Special Terms Applying to Kayo Sports 12-month voucher:

Voucher is redeemable for 12 months of Kayo One, and must be redeemed by 28th of February 2025 and sign up must occur via kayosports.com.au. After voucher period ends, subscription auto-renews at standard pricing (currently $25/mth for Kayo One). Not available in conjunction with any other offer, offer non-transferable and one redemption per person (excludes SA residents). Offer is not available when signing up via, or when billed via, third parties.

This Promotion is applicable for Star Liquor QLD and SA stores and Star Hotel Venues only.

PROMOTION PERIOD

  1. The Promotion will commence on the date and time as outlined in Schedule A.3.
  2. The Promotion will finish on the date and time as outlined in Schedule A.4.

Definitions

“Star Rewards” means the Star Rewards Loyalty Program.

“Member” means a person who has submitted their details and accepted the terms and conditions of Star Rewards Loyalty and is not suspended or has been excluded from the Participating Venue or from Star Rewards.

“Eligible Member” means a Member who has a valid entry into the Promotion.

“Loyalty System” means the Star Rewards Database that contains the Star Rewards Members personal details.

“Promoter” means qlhc pty ltd, trading as Star Group Management. ABN: 98 153 191 498. Address: 39 Harvey Street North, Eagle Farm, QLD 4009.

“Participating Venue” means a Venue’s Retail Outlet(s) ‘Bottle Shops’ where the Promotion is active and entries are being earned for the Giveaway promotion.

“Name of Promotion” means the name in schedule A.2.

“Valid Entry” means an entry that has been issued to an Eligible Member who has met all conditions of the Promotion.

“Draw Date” means the day that the winners will be drawn for this Promotion

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

4.1 All entries into the Promotion will be administered by the Promoter, via the computer software or other method chosen by the Promoter.

4.2 An Entry may not be considered valid if any of the following member details are missing from the computer records of the Star Rewards database.

It is the responsibility of the Member to ensure that their details are correct and entered into the Loyalty System of Star Rewards. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any Member that is missing details.

6. WINNERS NOTIFICATION

Winners will be notified in writing (via email or SMS) on the day of the draw.

It is the responsibility of the winning Member to check their emails/phone for win notifications.

General

7. If a participant is found to have breached these Terms and Conditions, the participant will be disqualified.

8. The prize winners’ details (last name, first initial and postcode) will be displayed at all Participating Venues within 7 days of the draw. For the sake of clarity, this shall include unclaimed prize draw winners.

9. If the Promoter reasonably suspects that a prize winner is not eligible, has breached these Terms and Conditions or has acted improperly to increase their chances of winning any prize during the promotion period, the Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award the prize to the prize winner and conduct a re-draw.

7. The Promoter may edit these Terms and Conditions at any time during the Promotion, subject to the approval of the applicable regulatory authorities.

10. The prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. The prize(s) are non-transferable.

11. Consumer guarantees set out in Division 1 of Part 3-2 of the Australian Consumer Law (as defined in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (the “Consumer Guarantees”), the Promoter does not warrant the merchantability, suitability and/or fitness for purpose of any goods and/or services awarded as a prize.

12. The Promoter will not be responsible or liable if for any reason beyond its reasonable control, if a prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable. The Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or part of the prize) with an alternative prize to the equal value and/or specification, unless to do so would be prohibited by law and subject to the Consumer Guarantees and to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

13. Information on how to enter, and the prize itself, form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in the Promotion by an entrant (and acceptance of a prize by the prize winner) confirms their acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

7. The Promoter reserves the right to request the prize winner provide proof of age and identity prior to awarding the prize. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.

14. If, in the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or for any reason whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promotion is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, the Promoter reserves the right (unless doing so would be prohibited by any law including the guarantees set out in the Consumer Guarantees) to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion subject to any written directions from the regulatory authorities.

15. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to validate and check the authenticity of entries and entrant's details (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence). In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof as required by the Promoter to validate their entry, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.

16. Decisions of the Promoter, acting reasonably, are final. No correspondence will be entered into. To the extent that a situation or issue arises for which these Terms and Conditions make no provision or in relation to which the relevant Terms and Conditions are unclear, the Promoter reserves the right to make a decision regarding such situation or issue in its sole and absolute discretion and such decision will be final and binding.

17. Each entrant consents to the Promoter using (or permitting authorised third parties to use) the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome), the Promoter and or products/services supplied by the Promoter.

18. The Promoter will collect, use and disclose the entrant’s personal information (as defined under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)) in order to administer and conduct the Promotion, carry out any activities connected with or related to the Promotion and provide any related or ancillary goods/services. The entrant’s personal information may also be used and disclosed in accordance with any other terms and conditions previously agreed to by the entrant (if any) and in accordance with the relevant privacy policy of the Promoter. If an entrant does not provide the Promoter with the personal information requested by the Promoter, the Promoter may not permit the entrant to participate in the Promotion. By entering the Promotion, the entrant consents to the Promoter: (a) collecting and using the entrant’s personal information in relation to the purposes referred to above; and (b) where considered necessary by the Promoter, disclosing the entrant’s personal information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers or regulatory authorities and for any purpose to which the entrant has previously consented, including but not limited to, future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct their personal information to the Promoter using the contact details set out above. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

19. Except for any implied condition or warranty (including any applicable Consumer Guarantee) the exclusion of which from these Terms and Conditions would contravene any statute or cause any part of these Terms and Conditions to be void (“Non-Excludable Condition”), the Promoter excludes from these Terms and Conditions all conditions, warranties and terms, implied by statute, general law or custom. Except for any liability in relation to a Non-Excludable Condition, the Promoter (including its officers, employees, contractors and agents) and any prize suppliers (including Hubbl Pty Limited, owner and operator of Kayo Sports) excludes all liability whether arising in tort (including, without limitation, negligence), contract or otherwise for any personal injury or any other loss, damage, cost, expense, damage or claim suffered, sustained or incurred (including without limitation loss of opportunity or loss of profits) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising either directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the Promotion or the prize, including (without limitation) the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax implications; and/or (f) the prize or use of the prize.

20. The Promoter is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, misdirected, incomplete or ineligible entries.

21. All prize values are promoted in Australian dollars. Promotional pictures may not represent the actual prize.

22. Any further enquiries should be directed to the Participating Venue.

23. The Promoter supports the responsible service of alcohol and encourages consumers to enjoy alcohol responsibly. Entrants will be refused service of alcohol or provision of an alcohol beverage if it would breach any laws, codes or policies including those of the relevant liquor licensee relating to the responsible service of alcohol. Legal aged consumers are advised to consider the safe drinking levels recommended in the National Health and Medical Research Council Australian Guidelines to Reduce Health Risks from Drinking Alcohol. 24. A participating venue will not offer this promotion as an inducement directed at encouraging patrons to gamble in line with relevant state gambling authorities.

25. A participating venue will not offer this promotion as an inducement directed at encouraging patrons to consume alcohol in line with relevant state liquor authorities.
