2020 has been a huge year of growth for legal industry podcasts. While mainstays such as ‘Happy Lawyer Happy Life’ surpassed 200 episodes, niche new shows such as ‘Counsel’ have brought lawyers to the podcasting medium in droves.

In a year that saw massive change to the industry, information about the legal profession has never been more relevant. Plus, as legal communities, events and businesses continue to digitise, there is more demand than ever for legal industry information and entertainment.

To save you the effort, we’ve curated the Top Legal Podcasts for in-house lawyers in 2020.

The Leading Lawyer Project

Summary

The Leading Lawyer Project is a podcast featuring interviews with General Counsel, Law Firm Partners and legal industry leaders to uncover the habits, traits and career paths of high performers.

Summary

The Future Law Podcast

Summary

Hosts Dan Hunter (Dean of Law at QUT) and Michael Madison (Professor of Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law) interview a range of voices from across the legal spectrum, from a range of countries and jurisdictions and backgrounds, all focused in some way on coming to grips with the future of law.

Why we love it

The Future Law Podcast is unique in that it is run by senior academics who are studying the changes facing the legal industry and exploring how those changes will affect law schools and graduates. Their perspective is important for any in-house lawyer who is thinking about mentoring younger lawyers or wanting to understand how graduates will be impacted by the changing legal profession.
