Plexus matches team’s donations to bushfire relief appeal

It's been impossible to watch the news, check social media or even go outside these last few weeks without being confronted by the devastating bushfires currently raging through Australia.

To date, the fires have burned an estimated 186,000 square kilometres; destroyed over 5,900 buildings (including approximately 2,683 homes) and killed at least 29 people. An estimated one billion animals have also been killed and some endangered species may be driven to extinction.

At Plexus, we are fortunate to be in a position to make a difference: both in the impact we have on the lives of our clients, partners and colleagues; but also in sharing the value we create with the broader community through our Social Impact initiative.

As part of this initiative, we invited our team to contribute to the bushfire appeal and have their donations matched dollar for dollar by The Plexus Foundation.

Through the incredible generosity of our employees, we managed to raise a total of $10,030 for the bushfire appeal.

This is a small donation in the scheme of things, but many hands make light work on the recovery and rebuilding of these communities that have been affected. We are in awe of businesses from around Australia contributing to the relief fund and we encourage all businesses who are able to contribute to do so.
