Plexus AI is secure. Public OpenAI models, including GPT-4, have been trained on data in the public domain, data that is available on the internet, or otherwise acquired, as well as private data that has been deliberately shared with OpenAI for training. Plexus will always opt-out of using customer data to train OpenAI, so our customer data is secure.
For further protection, OpenAI does not retain any API data after the 30 day abuse detection period. (OpenAI policy on Enterprise Privacy). Since OpenAI does not use Plexus’ customer data for training, you are safe in the knowledge that your confidential information won’t be revealed.
In addition, OpenAI uses data encryption both at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+), implementing strict access controls to limit who can access data. OpenAI is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant and has been audited by an independent third-party auditor against the 2017 Trust Services Criteria for Security. You can view more information about its security procedures on the OpenAI website.
Plexus features the world’s leading Generative AI technology from OpenAI, used by the world’s top global companies.
Generative AI is used in Plexus in a number of ways. For example, we use OpenAI's GPT-4 model to understand the intent of a user's request, to identify facts likely to be relevant, and to summarise documents. To build deeper interactions that are more specific to the users needs we also layer and augment the generative AI with data to ensure hallucinations are reduced and output is as relevant as it can be. In future, Generative AI features will turbocharge search, provide relevant context for legal matters, and automatically extract data from documents.
